Get set for exploring Morocco’s gems over an exhilarating lifetime journey directly in the heart of the majestic Sahara Desert, starting from the busy city of Casablanca then proceeding to the joyous cities of Merzouga, Marrakech, and Fes. This astonishing journey will take almost twelve days, and will be the time of your life if travelling in Morocco is on your bucket list.

While on the trip, there are bundles of things that you will come across alongside travelling through the Atlas Mountains such as the Berber villages. These are a couple of Morocco’s most joyful gems you will explore while travelling through bouncing valleys and canyons. During the journey, unique Kasbahs and the well known Medinas of Fes will also be there to grab your attention. This will make sure that you learn the history of the nation whilst travelling through it.

Most importantly, you will have the chance to ride a camel into the golden sand dunes to catch a glimpse of the relaxing sunrise that is by far the best golden hour you will ever witness. Alongside this, spending the night in the Berber camp will make sure that it stays a memory for a lifetime.

You will also have guided access to learn about the local people, alongside hidden gems that are missed out by tourists. These gems include unforgettable experiences of quad biking in the desert.

Day 1: Casablanca

Arrival in Casablanca. Visit the Hassan II Mosque and enjoy the Corniche seaside area. Overnight in Casablanca.

Day 2:Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen (or Rabat → Fes if you want to skip the north)

Drive to Rabat (Hassan Tower, Oudayas Kasbah), then continue to the “blue city” Chefchaouen. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

(Alternative: Casablanca → Rabat → Fes to save driving time)

Day 3: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes

Morning in Chefchaouen, then drive to the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Short stop in Meknes before arriving in Fes. Overnight in Fes.

Day 4: Fes (full day guided visit)

Discover Fes Medina: tanneries, medersas, souks, artisan quarters. Overnight in Fes.

Day 5: Fes → Erfoud / Rissani (towards the desert)

Long drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, cedar forests, and Ziz Valley. Arrive in Erfoud/Rissani area. Overnight in Erfoud.

Day 6: Erfoud → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes) – Desert Camp

Visit fossil workshops in Erfoud before driving to Merzouga. Camel trek into the dunes for sunset, overnight in a desert camp (standard or luxury). Enjoy stargazing and traditional music.

Day 7: Merzouga → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley

After sunrise in the dunes, head towards Todra Gorges for a walk. Continue to Dades Valley for overnight.

Day 8: Dades Valley → Skoura → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate

Travel along the “Road of 1000 Kasbahs” via Skoura oasis and Kelaat M’Gouna (Valley of Roses). Visit Ait Benhaddou, then continue to Ouarzazate. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 9: Ouarzazate → High Atlas → Marrakech

Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Scenic drive with Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech late afternoon. Overnight in Marrakech.

DAY 10: Marrakech (full day visit)

Explore Marrakech: Jemaa el-Fna square, Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, souks, Majorelle Gardens (optional). Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 11: Marrakech → Day trip (Essaouira or Ourika Valley / Agafay Desert)

Option 1: Day trip to Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast.

Option 2: Half-day to Ourika Valley or Agafay Desert for nature and relaxation. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 12: Marrakech → Casablanca (via El Jadida / Oualidia if desired)

Return to Casablanca. Optional stop at coastal towns. Overnight in Casablanca.

Day 13: Casablanca (free day)

Leisure day for shopping, relaxation, or extra visits. Overnight in Casablanca.

Day 14: Departure

Transfer to Casablanca Airport (Mohammed V) and end of tour.

Alternative Desert Morocco Cancellation :
