Description :

This three-day journey from Marrakech crosses the High Atlas to Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, then follows the Drâa Valley to an Agdez hotel for the first night. On day two, the program continues via Zagora and Tamegroute to a camp near M’Hamid. A sunrise camel ride precedes the long return to Marrakech on day three. The published itinerary and map do not include Erg Chigaga or Lake Iriqui; see the separate longer Erg Chigaga tour if those are your intended destinations.

Highlights:

• Cross the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka and travel through the Telouet and Ounila Valley area.

• Visit the UNESCO-listed Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou and continue through Ouarzazate to Agdez, where the first hotel night is listed.

• Follow the Drâa Valley via Zagora and Tamegroute, with pottery makers and the manuscript library described in the day-two plan.

• Spend the second night in a traditional tent at a camp near M’Hamid; take the included camel ride at sunrise on day three.

DAY 1: Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Agdez

Departure from Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the Tizi N Tichka Pass in the High Atlas, 2260 metres above sea level. Passage through the valley of the Ounila, the Telouet track, and visit of the Glaoui kasbah. Continuation to the kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO world heritage site. Pause in Ouarzazate, then departure in the early afternoon through the magnificent Draa Valley, bordered by palm groves, fields and magnificent ochre adobe villages, to Agdez, a village in the heart of the Drâa Valley. Dinner and night in Agdez, in a typical hotel, ideally situated in the heart of the palm grove.

DAY 2: Agdez – Tamegroute – M’Hamid

Departure from Agdez, after breakfast, continuation for the Draa Valley, studded with lush green fields, palm groves, with short breaks in the villages and a short walk in the palm grove. Then, after Zagora, break in Tamegroute, to visit the pottery makers and the town’s Koranic library containing precious manuscripts. Continue to the M’Hamid area. Dinner and the second overnight stay are described at a camp in traditional tents. Ask for the precise camp location and how the day’s pottery and library visits are arranged.

DAY 3: M’Hamid – Tamnougalt – Marrakech

Take the sunrise camel ride described in the program, then have breakfast before the return drive. The route stops for lunch in Agdez and lists a visit to the Tamnougalt kasbah before reaching Marrakech in the early evening. Confirm the timing and any admission or guide charges before booking.

From 14 Days To The Day Of Departure :	We keep 100% of deposit.

If the cancellation is announced by ALTERNATIVE DESERT MOROCCO due to unanticipated circumstances, you will be informed right away and get reimbursed all costs. If your journey is cancelled because of exceptional circumstances such as : strikes/cancellation of your flight (on proof), pandemic,… Your journey will be postponed and you will benefit from an asset in the time of 6 months
