The Seven-Day Taroudant, Amtoudi and Coast Itinerary

7 Days Tour From Marrakech To Mirleft Agadir, Marvelous Tour Anti Atlas And Atlantic

The Seven-Day Taroudant, Amtoudi and Coast Itinerary

See the complete published tour and booking details for this journey.

Taroudant to Tafraoute

The opening day crosses from Marrakech to Taroudant for a medina visit and overnight. Day 2 proceeds via Ighrem into the Anti-Atlas and on to Tafraoute. The almond valley and palm-lined landscapes are part of the drive, while the Tafraoute stay creates time for a short guided walk the following morning.

Amtoudi and Tighmert

On Day 3 the route leaves Tafraoute for Amtoudi and an overnight in the village. Day 4 is shaped around the collective granaries with a local guide and a climb of about an hour each way, then continues to Guelmim and a guest house in the Tighmert oasis. This is a distinctive part of the offer; it is not a camel trek or a dune-camp night.

Coast via Sidi Ifni and Mirleft

Day 5 heads through the Sidi Ifni and Legzira area, with Mirleft and other beach or town stops, toward the Tiznit area. The exact pauses should fit the driving day. Day 6 adds Tiznit’s old town and silver-jewellery craft before the journey to Taghazout, a fishing village near Agadir.

Paradise Valley and Marrakech

The final day leaves Taghazout for Paradise Valley in the Agadir region, then returns to Marrakech in the afternoon. The itinerary is therefore a loop from Marrakech rather than an Agadir finish. Confirm the final pickup and return arrangements if you have an evening connection.

Understand why Amtoudi changes this itinerary

The first day reaches Taroudant from Marrakech. Day two continues via Ighrem and the Anti-Atlas valleys to Tafraoute. Day three adds a local guided walk and travels to Amtoudi for a village overnight. Day four is shaped by the granaries: the published visit involves roughly an hour uphill and another hour downhill with a local guide. Only after that does the route continue to the Tighmert oasis near Guelmim. This is a different rhythm from an itinerary that simply drives past the Anti-Atlas to reach the beach.

If the granary visit is a priority, ask how early the walk starts, the condition of the path and what level of fitness is suitable for your group. If someone cannot make the climb, discuss a view from the village or another agreed alternative before booking. Confirm the village accommodation, room and bathroom details. The first four nights each serve a different purpose: Taroudant for the mountain crossing, Tafraoute for the landscape, Amtoudi for the granaries and Tighmert for the oasis.

Follow the coast without inventing extra nights

Day five passes toward Sidi Ifni and Mirleft before an overnight in the Tiznit area. Day six visits Tiznit and moves to Taghazout. The route names beaches and fishing settlements, but it does not give each one a separate hotel night. If a long beach afternoon is the main goal, identify where it could fit without removing the inland visit you chose the tour for. Ask the driver how much time is planned at Sidi Ifni, Mirleft and the Tiznit medina on your departure.

Day seven goes via Paradise Valley toward Marrakech. A free visit to the natural site is described; ask whether guidance is provided, how far the group will walk and what changes if access or weather is unsuitable. The Marrakech return is the end of the itinerary. It is not a seventh hotel night in the mountains. A fixed onward flight needs a separately confirmed drop-off and timing. Treat any additional Agadir sightseeing or an extra beach night as a tailored change, not part of the printed sequence.

Compare the route by experiences, not titles

Another Marrakech to Atlantic loop may include Tafraoute, Guelmim, Mirleft and Essaouira in six days, but that shorter journey does not place Amtoudi’s granaries at the centre. This seven-day route uses its additional time for a village stay, a substantial walk and a sequence through Tighmert, Tiznit and Taghazout. Ask for both tours on the same dates and compare the overnight list, guided walking, meals and final drop-off. A similar coast description can conceal very different walking and hotel arrangements.

Before choosing, decide how important the two-hour granary walk is and whether everyone in the group wants it. Ask for the local guide, accommodation name and any entry or supplementary costs. Confirm the meals at the village stay and the meeting point after free time in the coastal towns. A route document should show all six overnight locations, optional stops and the final Marrakech transfer. If a hotel or day-three walk changes, ask for the updated entire schedule rather than only a new price.

Think of the seven days as a progression in terrain: the high road to Taroudant, Anti-Atlas valleys to Tafraoute, a village and granary visit in Amtoudi, the Tighmert oasis, then the Atlantic toward Taghazout. The final turn through Paradise Valley leads back to Marrakech. This order matters because it places a physically demanding walk in the middle, followed by moving coastal hotels. If the group needs a rest period after Amtoudi, ask where it can fit without losing a booked overnight. Do not assume each named beach receives equal time.

Ask for the actual start and finish city, all six accommodation names and each local guide in the same quote. Confirm the Amtoudi walk duration, the Tafraoute guide and the nature of the Paradise Valley visit. For stops on the coast, decide whether you want independent time, a guided heritage visit or a longer meal. A small set of agreed priorities gives the driver a useful plan and leaves room for road conditions. It also lets you compare the seven-day circuit with a shorter Atlantic itinerary without mistaking similar destinations for the same trip.

Ask about luggage handover at Amtoudi and Tighmert, as these stays differ from a large city hotel. If the group splits between a guided walk and a shorter village visit, agree where and when everyone meets afterward. Confirm the proposed meals and bathroom arrangements in writing. These details determine whether the central two days feel like a comfortable cultural stay or a rushed detour before the Atlantic.
