The Nine-Day Imperial Cities and Sahara Sequence
See the complete published tour and booking details for this journey.
Rabat, Chefchaouen and Fes
Days 1–4 connect Casablanca with Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Meknes and Fes. The Fes medina has its own guided day, while Chefchaouen receives an overnight rather than a short detour. This sequence is a north-to-south journey before turning toward the dunes.
Middle Atlas to Erg Chebbi
Day 5 heads via Ifrane, Azrou and Midelt down the Ziz Valley to Merzouga. The published programme places the camel trek and luxury desert camp that evening. There is one camp night, with sunrise and the onward drive to Rissani and Erfoud on Day 6.
Todra, Dadès and the kasbah corridor
Day 6 visits Todra Gorges and stays in Dadès. Day 7 follows the Rose Valley and Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou, with an overnight in that area or Ouarzazate. The High Atlas crossing through Tizi n’Tichka follows on Day 8, arriving in Marrakech.
Marrakech before Casablanca
Day 9 names a guided Marrakech visit before the final Casablanca transfer. Discuss the timing of individual monuments, admissions and your flight with the operator; the full list of sights may need to be prioritised on a day that also contains a long road journey.
