The Ourika and three valleys excursion is a full circuit through several landscapes. It is not simply a transfer from Marrakech to Setti Fatma followed by an entire day beside the river. Decide whether you want that variety or would prefer to ask for more time in Ourika alone.
The published Ourika and three valleys itinerary combines Lake Lalla Takerkoust, Moulay Brahim, the Kik Plateau and Asni with Ourika and Setti Fatma. Your route choice determines how much time remains for lunch, walking and village stops.

Choose a circuit or request a more focused visit
The full programme suits travellers who want contrasting lake, plateau and valley views in one outing. It also means more stops and driving than going directly to Ourika. A short driving-time estimate for Marrakech to the valley does not describe the whole excursion.
If your priority is a long riverside lunch or a particular walk, ask whether a revised route is available and obtain its schedule and price. Do not assume that shortening the driving keeps every listed stop or that the waterfall walk can simply be added without using time elsewhere.

| Choice | What it means | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Full three-valleys circuit | Lake, plateau and village stops before or alongside Ourika. | The order of stops, lunch window and return estimate. |
| Included one-hour walking tour | A local guide and a one-hour walk are listed in the offer. | The actual route, terrain and meeting place. |
| Optional waterfall hike | A separate part of the day to discuss in advance. | Duration, difficulty, any extra cost and an alternative for non-walkers. |
The included walk does not mean all waterfalls
The offer includes a local guide and a one-hour walking tour. A waterfall hike is described as optional. Ask how those two parts relate: where the included walk goes, whether you need extra time for a waterfall visit and what the guide recommends for your group.
Describe your practical limits rather than asking only whether the walk is “easy”. Mention difficulty with steps, uneven ground or sustained climbs, and the ages of children. Confirm a shorter alternative and where the group would reunite. No particular number of waterfalls or step-free route should be assumed.
Check meals, transport and guiding separately
The published programme lists air-conditioned minibus transport, pickup and drop-off, a Berber house visit and an argan cooperative visit, alongside the local guide and one-hour walk. Lunch and drinks are separate. Ask where you will stop to eat, what the expected payment arrangement is and how dietary requests will be handled.
English, French and Spanish driver-guide options are mentioned on the offer; confirm availability for your date and which parts of the visit they cover. Agree the exact morning pickup and meeting point. The published return is around 19:00, subject to the route and conditions.
Avoid booking the same valley circuit twice
The Agafay and three valleys day trip also includes the lake, Kik Plateau, Asni and Ourika. Compare the actual stops if you are planning two excursions from Marrakech. Two different tour names do not necessarily create two different valley days.
Use the day-trip comparison to choose a contrasting coast, kasbah or waterfall outing, and the Atlas walking and day-bag checklist to prepare for the agreed route.
Questions before you book
Is this a direct trip to Ourika?
No. The published itinerary includes the lake, plateau and other valleys. Ask for a revised quote if you want a more focused Ourika visit.
Does the included walk cover all seven waterfalls?
That is not promised by the offer. A one-hour walking tour is included and waterfall hiking is optional; agree the precise route and time with the team.
Can some of our group avoid the hike?
Discuss a shorter visit or waiting point before booking. The team needs to confirm a workable arrangement, supervision needs and where everyone will meet again.
Send your preferred route and walking limits so the plan can be confirmed for your group.
