Casablanca to Merzouga: How the Ten-Day Route Fits Together

10 Days Grand South Morocco Tour from Casablanca

Casablanca to Merzouga: How the Ten-Day Route Fits Together

The strength of this ten-day itinerary is its sequence. Rabat and Fes come first, then the Middle Atlas crossing leads to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. Two nights in the Merzouga area give the desert more room than a single-night stop. The route then continues via Rissani, Todra Gorges, Dades Valley, Ouarzazate and Aït Ben Haddou to Marrakech.

Choose by the stops that matter to you

If city heritage is your priority, pay attention to the Fes guided day and the Marrakech day. If the dunes matter most, the two Merzouga nights are the defining feature to retain when discussing changes. The daily plan already names a camp stay and a further camp or hotel stay; confirm the actual accommodation allocation in your quote.

Essaouira is a day trip

The coastal visit on day nine starts and ends in Marrakech. You can spend time in Essaouira’s medina and around the Skala, then return to Marrakech for the night. Day ten therefore begins in Marrakech for the transfer towards Casablanca. Do not plan an onward connection as though the group were sleeping in Essaouira.

Discuss adjustments in writing

A private tour can be tailored, but the published route provides the baseline for the quote. A different final airport, more time at a monument or a change in desert lodging affects travel time and cost. Ask for the revised daily schedule and inclusions in writing before confirming the booking.
