Experience the variety of southern Morocco on an eight-day private journey through the mountains, desert and Atlantic coast. Explore historic kasbahs, enjoy stays at Erg Chebbi and Erg Chegaga, and continue through Taroudant and Agadir before discovering Essaouira.

Depart at 9:00 a.m. from your accommodation in Marrakech. Travel across the High Atlas Mountains towards Telouet to discover the Kasbah of the Glaoui.

Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its earthen architecture and film history.

Dinner and overnight in the Ait Ben Haddou area, near Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, head to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt.

Continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura and visit the Kasbah of Amridil. Travel to the Dades Gorges for a short walk before continuing to Tinghir.

Day 3: Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

After breakfast, visit the Todra Gorges and enjoy a short walk surrounded by towering canyon walls.

Day 4: Merzouga – Alnif – Tazzarine – N’Kob – Agdez

After breakfast, travel by 4×4 through the desert landscapes towards Alnif, Tazzarine and N’Kob.

Continue through traditional villages to Agdez, in the heart of the Draa Valley.

Day 5: Agdez – Zagora – Tamegroute – M’Hamid – Erg Chegaga

After breakfast, stop in a village in the Draa Valley for a short walk through the palm grove.

Continue through Zagora to Tamegroute to discover the traditional pottery workshops. Travel onwards to M’Hamid, then continue by 4×4 along desert tracks through sandy stretches, rocky plains and oases.

Arrive at Erg Chegaga and enjoy a camel ride at sunset. Dinner is followed by an evening of music around the campfire.

Day 6: Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Taliouine – Taroudant

After breakfast, continue your desert journey across the dry bed of Lake Iriqui.
