Private Morocco Tour Logistics: Bags, Rooms and Group Needs

Morocco Private Tour

A private Morocco tour is easier to organise when the practical details of the group are agreed together. The number of passengers alone does not describe the space you need, the room arrangement that works or the pace everyone can enjoy.

Use this checklist after choosing the outline of your private tour, and before confirming the vehicle and accommodation. The route-planning guide covers start and finish cities; the quotation guide covers comparing the services and price offered.

Send a real luggage count

List the number of larger cases, cabin-sized bags and day bags travelling with the group. Add dimensions for bulky items and mention a pushchair, folding mobility aid or other equipment that needs space. A photograph with dimensions can help the operator understand an unusual item without guessing from its name.

Ask the team to confirm that the assigned vehicle can carry both the passengers and the stated luggage. Do not infer luggage capacity from the vehicle’s seat count. If your group plans to buy larger items during the journey, discuss the remaining space before departure.

Agree access and walking requirements in practical terms

Describe the arrangements you need: the distance you can comfortably walk, whether steps are a problem, whether a mobility aid must fit in the vehicle, or whether frequent breaks matter. You do not need to send a detailed medical history to explain a practical access requirement.

Ask separately about vehicle access, the route from the parking point to the accommodation, room access and each walking visit. A private vehicle does not establish that every riad, camp or attraction is accessible. Confirm the proposed alternative for any stop that does not suit your group before accepting the itinerary.

Make a rooming list

Write down which travellers share each room and the bed arrangement requested. Include children’s ages and any need for a cot, child seat or other equipment, then ask what can actually be supplied. Treat a request as unconfirmed until it appears in the booking details.

For a desert camp, ask about the tent category, bathroom arrangement and transfer to the camp. If you need a particular facility, such as step-free access or a private bathroom, have it specified for the actual accommodation rather than relying on a broad description such as “comfortable” or “luxury”.

On a small screen, swipe the table sideways to see every column.

Detail to send Confirmation to request
Passengers and children’s ages Vehicle and any requested child equipment.
Bag count, dimensions and bulky equipment Usable luggage space and handling arrangements.
Room sharing and bed preferences Confirmed room or tent configuration.
Walking, steps and access requirements Suitability of each transfer, stay and visit.
Preferred guide language Which guided visits use that language.

Separate the travelling bag from the bag for visits

Keep clothing changes and items used at accommodation in the main bag. Use a smaller bag for what you need during stops: water, a layer, phone, booking information and personal essentials. Leave enough space to carry that bag comfortably on a walk.

If the itinerary has a camp transfer, ask whether you need a smaller overnight bag and where the main luggage will be kept. A storage arrangement, porter service or alternative transfer should be confirmed rather than assumed. For a tour beginning in Casablanca, the city, road and camp packing guide gives a more detailed clothing and bag checklist.

Keep the group’s daily arrangements consistent

Choose one group contact for pickup messages and itinerary changes, while ensuring everyone has the meeting information. Save the confirmed programme and key accommodation details offline. Each evening, check the next pickup time, whether you are changing accommodation and what you need for the following stop.

Tell the operator about dietary requirements and preferred meal arrangements before the itinerary is finalised. Ask which meals are included and which need to be paid for separately. Keep the reply with the booking so the group is not working from different assumptions.

If travellers arrive on different flights or join the tour at different points, list those movements individually. A private booking for one group does not automatically include multiple airport pickups, extra vehicles or waiting arrangements.

Questions about group logistics

Does a private tour guarantee a particular vehicle?

Only the vehicle or category stated in the confirmed booking should be relied on. Ask for passenger and luggage capacity to be checked against your actual group.

Can the itinerary work for limited mobility?

The individual vehicle, accommodation and visit arrangements need to be assessed. Describe the access requirements and request concrete answers for each part of the route.

Are child seats, cots or luggage assistance included?

Ask whether the requested equipment or service is available and whether it adds a charge. Have the agreed arrangement recorded before travelling.

Send the group’s luggage, rooming and access requirements together so the team can confirm a practical arrangement for your chosen route.
