The Eighteen-Day Imperial Cities, Sahara and Coast Itinerary
See the complete published tour and booking details for this journey.
Casablanca to the blue city
Days 1–4 move from Casablanca and Rabat to Chefchaouen, with a full free day there. The optional Akchour outing belongs to that free day. Day 5 adds Volubilis and Meknes before Fes, which then has one guided and one free day.
Middle Atlas and Merzouga
Day 8 crosses via Ifrane, cedar forests and the Ziz Valley to a luxury Erg Chebbi camp. Day 9 stays in the Merzouga area for Khamlia, desert exploration and another overnight, described as a hotel or camp. The route therefore allows more desert time than a single-night Fes-to-Marrakech tour.
Dadès to Marrakech
Day 10 goes through Todra Gorge to Dadès. Day 11 continues through the Rose Valley, Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou, then crosses the High Atlas to Marrakech. A guided Marrakech day and a free day follow; Ourika or Agafay are optional choices for the free day.
Two Essaouira nights and Casablanca finish
Day 14 reaches Essaouira, Day 15 is free on the coast, and Day 16 follows the shore via El Jadida to Casablanca. Day 17 remains open before the Day 18 airport transfer. The Atlantic stay is a scheduled part of this itinerary, not a quick optional detour.
